Pop Art & Layer Mask Practice


So starting with this initial candid/perspective shot, loading it into Photoshop, I proceeded to enhance the saturation and make the colours appear more vibrant. I then applied the Cutout filter and messed around with the levels to find the correct balance. Which left me with this:

 
After I applied two textures to the piece, one glacial and one wood grain. I did this using layer masks, opacity meters and layer blending options.

 
Which produced this pop art style piece blended with textures in the style of Dan Mountford's double exposure.
